Monday 28 September 2009: we are aware of the following issues with Immidio Flex Profiles Advanced Edition.
Management Console crashes
If you right-click outside of a node in the tree of the Flex Profiles Management Console, the application crashes ("Unhandled exception has occurred in your application.").
This issue will be addressed in the next version. In the mean time, please click "Continue" in the exception dialog.
Temp file error in FlexEngine
FlexEngine can fail to run correctly with the following error message in the log file: "[ERROR] ImportFiles::ImportRegistryFile: Error 267 getting temp file name".
This issue will be addressed in the next version. In the mean time, please ensure that the directory or directories referred to by the TMP and TEMP environment variables exist.
License issues on 64-bit systems
There are separate installers for the 32-bit (x86) and 64-bit (x64) versions of Immidio Flex Profiles Advanced Edition. The 32-bit installer can be run on a 64-bit system, but in that case the Flex Profiles Management Console will raise an error message that it is unable to find a valid license ("No valid license found for Immidio Flex Profiles Advanced Edition.").
To prevent this error, please use the 64-bit installer on a 64-bit system.
Installation issue on 64-bit Windows Server 2003 (R2)
The 64-bit installer does not work correctly on Windows Server 2003 (R2) x64 (clicking the "Select license file" button in the "Select license" panel results in a fatal installer error).
This issue will be addressed in the next version. In the mean time, performing an unattended installation (as described in the product documentation) can be used as a workaround.

Interesting....the last item "Installation issue on 64-bit Windows Server 2003 (R2)"
I installed on x64 W2K8R2 system (with the 64 bit installer) with the evaluation license.. No problems encountered
Just thought i'd mention it.

Thanks for the heads up. Indeed, the installer works just fine on x64 Windows Server 2008 and 2008 R2. The installation issue mentioned only affects the 64-bit edition of Windows Server 2003 and 2003 R2.

Hi Tom,
This issue will be resolved in the next version of Flex Profiles Advanced which is scheduled for this summer.
However there is a workaround for this issue, you can use the unattend install and the installation is running fine.
you can trigger the unattend install by typing:
"msiexec.exe /i "Immidio Flex Profiles Advanced Edition.msi" /qn INSTALLDIR="D:\Apps\Immidio Flex Profiles" ADDLOCAL="FlexEngine,FlexService,FlexProfilesAssistant" LICENSEFILE="E:\FlexProfiles.lic" /l* InstallFlex.log"
* I've used example paths, please feel free to change them to your own pathsettings

Hi Raymond!
just installed it with the msiexec command you mentioned below. installation worked but in the user logon log file i see this:
2010-09-27 10:06:34.262 [FATAL] No valid license found. (LOGON)
2010-09-27 10:08:19.269 [FATAL] No valid license found. (LOGOFF)
installed v6.1 advanced x64
any ideas about that?
