We are currently migrating from WinXP to Win7. Our XP users are using roaming profiles. We want to move to Win7 using a mandatory profile, redirecting all folders, except AppData, to the users HomeDrive, and using Flex Profiles to export AppData and HKCU\Software, Printers, Control Panel, and Network.
We've created the Win7 Mandatory profile, and are able to apply it successfully. We have created the appropriate ini files to target the settings listed above. When the user logs out all the settings are exported properly, and .zip files are created. When the user logs back in there are some settings which don't seem to apply very well, namely user specific pinned apps to the taskbar, and the location of the taskbar (default is at the bottom of the screen), if moved to the top, or either side, this setting is not being applied.
Had anyone had any luck using Flex Profiles with a Mandatory Profile on Win7?

We also have these same problems with Windows 7 (x64) and mandatory profiles. Additionally the mapped network printers does not work correctly. We are saving the "Common Settings - Printer" setting in our ini files but when user logs back in the mapped network printers cannot be set default printer anymore. If user deletes the mapped printer and adds it back again then the default printer can be set. So it seems that someting about the printers does not get saved in common settings zip-file. Our print server is Win 2008 R2 and we use x64 printer drivers only.

Hi All,
For the Windows 7 taskbar you could use the following keys:
[IncludeFolderTrees] <AppData>\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Quick Launch\User Pinned\TaskBar
[IncludeRegistryTrees] HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Taskband
[IncludeIndividualRegistryValues] HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\StuckRects2\Settings HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Advanced\TaskbarSizeMove
