Hello community,

I use FlexProfiles 7 and we want so save the change of the font size from normal (100%) to large (125%) or extra large (150%). The registry tree we us is the following:

[IncludeRegistryTrees]
HKCU\Control Panel\Desktop
HKCU\Control Panel\Desktop\WindowMetrics

If we change this setting Windows 7 says “changes will take effect when the next log-on time”. So the keys are written when we logon next time. But we use mandatory profiles and FlexProfiles write the values in to the config file if you logoff. As result we can’t save the changes.

Has anybody a suggestion how we can solve this problem?

thx

Hi Gary,

I've reproduced your question in my test environment and it works for me with the following reg key

[IncludeRegistryTrees]
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Desktop

What I did:

I changed the settings to 150% and pressed <OK>, then the message appeared: "Please log off to activate the settings" and at that moment Windows already changed the setting in the registry. But some settings can only be changed/activated by Windows at logon.

So when you logoff, Flex Profiles will save the setting with the key i've mentioned earlier and will inject this setting at login.

Hi Raymond,

when the user logs out all the settings are exported, and .zip files are created. But the .reg file has the same values as the registry before we change the settings in addition to the key LogPixels. If the user logs on nothing is change (the taskbar, desktop icons, … all have the standard size).

Only the check mark 150% is selected "Please log off to activate the settings".

Did you regard that we use mandatory profiles?

Thanks for your help
