There is major problem with default printer setting in Windows 7 Enterprise 64bit and Flex Profiles 7.0.2. The Default printer doesn't get saved. Printers itself are saved and their settings are saved. We use mapped printers only. Every time the user logs in the default printer is set back to Windows XPS or other local printer but never to mapped printer which was set default before logging out. This setting did work with Flex Profiles Advanced 6.1. We are using same setting as before.
Please help with this. We need to get this solved or else we can not upgrade to 7.0.2.

Hi,
What does your printers.ini (or whatever you named it) contain? We also experienced this issue earlier, but after tuning the settings for the printers.ini-file this problem was solved.
Out current printers.ini file looks like this:
[IncludeRegistryTrees] HKCU\Printers HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Windows
#[ExcludeRegistryTrees] #HKCU\Printers\DevModePerUser #HKCU\Printers\DevModes2 #HKCU\Printers\Settings
Also, if you are using Citrix (XenApp/Desktop)we had some issues with users trying to set client printers as default printer. This works in old Citrix versions, but as from XenApp 5 (i think) they started naming the printers different. Now the client printers are named <printername> in session xx. If this is set, the next user logon will most likely result in a new session number, and will not correspond with whats set in the registry (session number will differ from last session), and by default windows falls back to another printer. This can be resolved by setting a Citrix-policy forcing the client printer to be set as default printer.
Hope this helps!
