AppScriber 3 Enterprise edition

Product Information

In today’s agile business world, employees want 24x7 self-service access to the Windows applications they need. Manually assigning applications to users is a time-consuming and costly activity. With Immidio AppScriber, users activate applications in a secure self-service manner, without administrator intervention. All a user needs to do is browse or search for the application he or she needs, and subscribe or unsubscribe with one click. The IT department remains in control over which applications are made available, but no longer assigns these applications manually, resulting in a significant reduction of cost and labor.

Immidio AppScriber extends the most popular application deployment solutions, such as Microsoft Installer (MSI) with Group Policies, Microsoft App-V, Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager, Microsoft RemoteApp, Citrix XenApp and Symantec Altiris Deployment Solution.

How it Works

Based on Active Directory security groups, Immidio AppScriber presents a list of available applications in a web interface, allowing users to select their own application set. Once a user activates an application, Immidio AppScriber triggers your existing application deployment solution for distribution.

Immidio AppScriber 3 supports the managed application type which kicks off an approval workflow (1- or 2-level) as soon as the user requests such an application. An underlying workflow engine allows one or more approvers to authorize the distribution of the managed application. The authorization workflow engine uses e-mail for communication between users and application approvers. Approvers can easily be configured per application and can be anyone within the organization like a department head, line manager or technical owner.
